Hans Theessink (pronounced Tay-sink) loves American roots music. It is a love which has lasted a long time and which grows ever deeper. Hans brings this blues- and roots sensitivity to his present album WISHING WELL that follows his internationally-acclaimed 2012 duet album Delta Time with Terry Evans.
In WISHING WELL he digs deep into the treasure chest of American homespun music, and comes up with a mixture of folk, blues and americana: some wonderful new interpretations of traditional songs, together with strong original compositions and personal favorites by Bob Dylan, Brownie McGhee and Townes van Zandt.
You‘re all invited to accompany him on his musical journey.
WISHING WELL comes highly recommended – Sit back and enjoy.
Growing up listening to 50’s, 60’s and 70’s Rock –N-Roll, the Blues was always just a step away. So when Jeff started playing guitar at age 11 the significance of blues was overwhelming. Flirting with different styles of music like Rock and Roll, Funk, Punk Rock and Jazz through high school, Jeff landed his first blues gigs at age 19 as a guitarist.
Moving to Memphis in 2011, Jeff spent 2 years as Harmonica Sensation Brandon Santini’s guitar player and Musical Director. Jeff is now touring as Jeff Jensen Band and promoting his 2013 release “road worn and ragged”. You can hear Jeff Jensen on Sirius XM Satellite Radio and 200+ other radio stations around the United States as well as stations in Denmark, England, Canada, Australia, Germany, Argentina, Belgium and more.
“Jeff don’t chase any ghosts of Robert Johnson, or fall into the pitfalls of coming off gimmicky… He brings the goods with this no-nonsense production and i cant help but conclude that his songs were constructed for the express purpose of taking on and winning over a live audience… Something I greatly admire, and something he and his band have the extreme talent to do! Enjoy the show!” - Victor Wainwright (Blues Piano icon)

Warner Williams and Jay Summerour have been playing music together under the name of Little Bit A Blues for nearly 30 years. During their tenure together, they have recorded several albums, including one under the Smithsonian Folkways label. Eric Selby joined up with Warner and Jay several years ago, completing the current trio heard on this new and exciting release. Little Bit A Blues have played concert venues and blues festivals across the country—too many to name.
Icons in the genre of piedmont-style, acoustic blues, Little Bit A Blues has become a fan favorite nationwide. Often shying away from the media spotlight, they have continued their musical journey together while gaining a large and loyal following. From the coaxing of B.B. King’s Bluesville’s Bill Wax, Little Bit A Blues got together and completed a live recording at SiriumXM Studios in the Fall of 2012. The recording has just been released on the Soul Stew Records label and is titled, “THE BEST OF LITTLE BIT A BLUES: LIVE AT B.B. KING’S BLUESVILLE.”
This new release was recorded in a similar manner to how they perform their concerts: live, no musical edits and no overdubs. Whether it’s the beat-tapping of Warner’s boot or a much needed cough in between verses to belt out the blues, on this CD, you hear it all in its raw and honest form. Just like the real-deal acoustic blues they deliver.

Peter Novelli Band swampy, funky roots rock and blues from Louisiana…a potent combination of New Orleans street rhythms, swampy backbeats, jazzy infusions, and a most sincere and innovative approach to the blues… Novelli is a superb songwriter and arranger, who tempers his guitar to a point that it seems to be having a conversation with its audience…Novelli’s second CD demonstrates his clear ability to write and perform songs with the most soulful artists anywhere. Sunday is from the wilds of a northern Ontario small town, but she has been found singing everywhere from small logging and mining towns at coffee houses, funeral parlours, and blues joints and all the way to large festivals, house concerts and bars in bustling metropolises.
Her influences come from a array of sources such as the wilderness, Ruth Brown, pain, suffering, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, grief, heartbreak, Bessie Smith, Big Bill Broonzy, mixed in with love, joy, Tom Waits, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. She continues to create, explore, interpret and innovate, melding divergent styles and influences, pushing the envelope of her craft further. All the while enthralling audiences with her live performances and singular style. http://www.sundaywilde.com/
