I just have to give it up for the South Florida Blues Society, every year they put on an amazing pre-cruise showcase. This year they had Florida artist Ben Prestage out by the pool, and boy was it great.
Ben is a modern day one man band, utilising drum kit, cigar box diddley bow, patched together guitars, superb songwriting skills and a sense of community in his performances that brings everyone together.
The cat worked real hard that night, kicking of his shoes, singing, drumming some incredible beats with his feets and winning over the crowd to a standing ovation at sets’ end.
Ben has been nominated for a Blues Music Award in the Instruments- Other category for his work on the diddley bow. Catch this young man if you can, he is one of the outstanding young blues performers out there.
Ben Prestage
A truly unique artist, Ben Prestage is a modern day one man band. Song writing skills are top of the line, super show at LRBC pre-cruise Party. Thanks to South Florida Blues Society.
