The Samajwadi party has called the ruling BJP’s move an attempt to destabilize the Samajwadi party’s “victory campaign” ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections scheduled for February-March.

The BJP called this routine action by the income tax department and denied any political overtones.

So far, there has been no information on what has been found in these raids, but reliable sources have suggested that the Income Tax Department has found numerous “Benami” properties. The raids are expected to end tomorrow and only then will the ministry reveal the amount of tax evasion by these businessmen.
